Eddie is without a doubt the most mysterious member
of this hard rocking trio. Eddie started playing guitar when he
was 15. Some of his favorite bands would include Dream Theater, King
Crimson, Black Sabbath, and AC/DC.
Eddie’s biggest influences would probably have to be Randy Rhodes,
and
Eddie Van Halen.
Many great singers not only have their own style, but also quite often have the
uncanny ability to sound like the artist that they are covering. Eddie Machete
is no exception.
On the local level, he hasn’t been over played, which is a good thing for
9-LIVES.
He is probably best known for his work in Tribal Reign from Niagara
Falls, and Day for Night, which is an excellent Tragically Hip Cover
band. The Day for Night project has been playing to standing room only
crowds, so be sure to check it out! Eddie shows off some awesome bass
playing abilities in that project.
His main contributions
to the band are a great guitar sound, the ability to sing a super wide
variety of material, and even is the bands sound engineer.
